Posted by admin - February 1, 2012 - Accounts, Business

PensionsOn 25 January 2012, Department for Work and Pensions announced the automatic enrolment legislation will start as planned for employers with more than 250 employees will start as planned from October 2012.

Employers with fewer employees will be assigned new start dates.

Organisations with between 50 and 249 employees will start auto-enrolling employees between 1 April 2014 and 1 April 2015 – a year later than planned – and small employers with fewer than 50 employees will not have to do so until two years later, from 1 April 2017.
